chrish495@msn.com BioHello there. My name is Chris Hewitt, I’m 17 years old, and I’d like to welcome you to my LiveJournal profile.
To tell you a little about myself, you have to know one thing: my biggest passion is music. I am a pianist and have been for eight (8) years. I enjoy writing music, improvising, and playing some rocking classical pieces like ones from Mendelssohn, Beethoven, and Bach, my UOP friends will tell you so. I love to sing and I am a member of Liberty High School's Chamber Singers and A Cappella, they're awesome.
When I do sports, I enjoy playing soccer, running cross-country and track, snow skiing, biking, and any water sport I can get involved with. I referee soccer on my spare time; it’s my current part-time job. It takes up a lot of time, but I don’t let it take over my life. Moreover, music is my priority, and a lot of my time goes into that. By way of my iPod I am also able to bring my favorite tunes with me; this has made me incredibly happy.
Another huge aspect of my life is photography. I've taken approximately 45,000 pictures in my life and every one of them has significant meaning, if you could believe that. My vision is kind of how that old phrase goes, “A picture tells a thousand words,” in that pictures can really show the ambience of an occasion, lifestyle, friendship, or moment. I take pictures because it's something I love to do and because I get incredible satisfaction and enjoyment from doing so. My Canon PowerShot Pro 1 is always at my side.
My goals in life aren’t yet decided. I know that pursuing a career in music is something my heart tells me to do, but majoring in architecture or business is something that my mind is telling me. I try to do well in school, and my grades are decent, but I’m not getting into anywhere like Princeton or Harvard. I plan on going to an in-state California University and at least minor in music. It would be awesome to keep my best friends at my side throughout, although that may be highly difficult with all the things going on in life nowadays.
I am now sure where I am going to go after that. It’s everyone’s dream in life to become rich and famous, but even if I don’t conquer either of those far-fetched ideas, I know I will still be content. In the post-college days, I plan to settle somewhere that I can establish as my “home” where after a long vacation or outing, I can just sit back and relax. I would love to travel all over the world in my lifetime. Italy, Spain, Australia—you name it, I’d love to go there. My first out-of-country experience happens when I go to England this summer with Liberty High School’s A Cappella Choir.
I am a junior in high school now, and time is flying by faster than I would have ever imagined possible. Sometimes I wonder how we all got here, how our feelings and emotions work and why we perceive things as they are, but it's a constant adventure, and I enjoy every minute of it. My friends and family are to thank, they're wonderful. I'm an outgoing and fun-loving person, and I like to keep it real.
